What is Elementor?

Elementor is a WordPress page builder for people who want to design pages visually and stay inside WordPress. It suits freelancers and small businesses; developers who like lean block themes may find it heavy.

What you actually buy

The core plugin is free. Elementor Pro adds theme building, forms, popups and more widgets, and it is sold by the year. The pricing page we opened listed Essential and Advanced Solo for 1 site, Advanced for 3 and Expert for 25, with a headline of plans starting from $60 a year. The individual prices did not render for us, so check the page for exact amounts.

The renewal catch

Licences renew at the regular rate on your billing cycle, not at the sale price. A Black Friday purchase therefore saves money only in year one. The page also states a 30-day money-back guarantee that applies to annual plans only.

Hosting bundles are a different product

Elementor also sells hosting and bundles, and its Black Friday pages have promoted those more heavily than the plugin alone. In 2025, from 25 November to 3 December, the company's own page showed up to 20% off Pro plans (the Expert plan got the top figure) and up to 38% off bundles. Check what the bundle includes before comparing it with the plugin price.

Is waiting for a sale worth it?

On the entry plan, a single-digit percentage off saves a few dollars, so buy when you need it. On the Expert licence a 20% cut is real money and worth a few weeks of patience. No 2026 date had been announced when we checked.

Who should skip it

Anyone building a very fast, minimal site, and developers who prefer the native block editor. Elementor adds markup and scripts to each page, and caching and careful design are needed to keep pages light.

Decision rule

If you build WordPress sites visually and need Pro features, buy the smallest plan that covers your site count and expect to renew at list price. If you only need simple pages, the free plugin or the block editor may be enough.
