Hosting.com is the new name for A2 Hosting. It sells shared hosting and managed WordPress, and suits buyers who will prepay a long term in exchange for a low monthly rate. If you refuse multi-year commitments, the monthly price is far less attractive.

What the everyday price looks like

Our stored record shows Shared Starter at $1.99 a month on a 4-year term with a regular price of $13.99 a month. We could not load the pricing page today, so confirm the term and the renewal on the checkout page. The low figure is an everyday promotion rather than a Black Friday offer.

What past Black Fridays looked like

A2 Hosting coverage for 2024 reported up to 86% off across shared, WordPress, VPS and dedicated plans. In 2025, from 3 November to 1 December, Hosting.com took 50% off annual managed WordPress plans, starting at $7.50 a month, with a $1 first month on monthly plans. Some headlines claimed up to 99% off, but that number referred to the $1 first month, not the ongoing price.

The renewal trap

Shared Starter's regular price of $13.99 a month is roughly seven times the four-year promo rate. If you want a cheap site now and a possible migration later, that jump matters less. If you want to stay put, pay attention to what the renewal will be.

Should you wait for Black Friday?

Nothing was announced as of late October 2026. If you want managed WordPress, waiting until November likely pays off, based on last year. If you want basic shared hosting, the current 4-year price is already competitive.

Hosting.com and A2 Hosting coverage mixes old and new names, so check the date on any review. A figure labelled A2 Hosting may describe a previous plan structure. Compare the term length and renewal price before you compare the headline percentage.
