What is MagickPen?

What MagickPen does

MagickPen is an AI writing tool that drafts articles, essays, reports, stories and ads, and also translates, checks grammar and fixes code. You set role, language, tone, length and format, and you can use templates or web search.

It belongs to a small family of products from the same maker, including OpenL, magickimg, Teach Anything and ReviewGPT.

Free plan and paid tiers

The free plan gives 10 credits per day and 500 words per generation, usable without login. Basic costs $6.90 per month with unlimited fast credits, web search and up to 6,000 words per generation. Premium is $19 per month with 600 advanced credits (20 per day). Ultimate is $59 with 1,800 advanced credits (60 per day). Paid tiers show a 7-day free trial.

A yearly option exists but its prices were not shown.

A mismatch to check

The FAQ describes credit packs, a $29 monthly subscription and a 3,000-word limit, which do not match the pricing table. Confirm current terms at checkout, and screenshot what you agree to.

Output quality tracks the underlying model, so expect drafts that need human editing and fact checking. An education discount for students and teachers is listed.

Decision rule

Use the free tier first: 500 words per generation is enough to judge style. Pay for Basic only if you hit the cap and want longer outputs. Skip it if you need collaboration features or brand voice training.
