What is Windscribe?

Windscribe is a VPN with a free plan and a paid Pro tier. Its Black Friday deal is one of the simpler ones in the VPN category: a 1-year Pro plan for $29 instead of $69, with no multi-year lock-in.

That is the main reason to consider it. Most big VPN sales bury the low price inside a 2-year or 5-year term. Windscribe's 2025 offer took $40 off a single year, about $2.42 a month, so you could test the service for twelve months and walk away without much sunk cost.

Timing

Last year's deal ran in November and ended on 10 December 2025. No 2026 sale has been announced, but the pattern points to a similar offer. Buy the annual Pro plan on windscribe.com/upgrade when it appears; the price shows up without a code.

Who it is not for: buyers who want the lowest possible monthly-equivalent price over several years. A 2-year deal from a bigger provider can come out cheaper per month. And if the free tier already covers what you do, there is little reason to pay at all.
