What is Playground?

Playground is an AI image tool for people who want quick images, templates and edits without learning prompt tricks. The free plan is fine for testing; heavy users will hit the cap fast. It is not for people who need guaranteed commercial-rights paperwork.

What the free plan allows

The Free plan gives up to 10 images every 3 hours on the plan card, plus 3 monthly generations across listed models. The pricing table says 5 images per 3-hour window instead, and the FAQ talks about a rolling hourly period, so the site contradicts itself. Expect somewhere between 5 and 10 and test it. Generation is slower at peak times.

Paid plans

Pro is $15 a month, or $12 a month billed annually ($144 a year). It gives 75 images every 3 hours, 150 monthly credits, premium templates, upscaling, background removal and AI editing up to 2K. Pro Plus is $45 a month or $36 annually ($432 a year), with unlimited generations, 1,000 monthly credits, 4K editing and priority support. API access needs a request form.

Who should skip it

Anyone producing images in bulk on a tight budget: Pro Plus is expensive. Heavy API users should confirm access first.

Decision rule: stay on Free if you make a few images a week; pick annual Pro only after a month of hitting the limit.
